Q3. What are the steps which I need to follow before agreeing for Mutual Consent Divorce?

     The next step is to think about the custody of the children; who is going to have it? Whether his / her custody would be beneficial for the child?
     The third step is to think about the future of the children out of the wedlock without the presence of the spouse not having the custody of the child.
     The next step is – agreement regarding payment of lump sum money by husband to wife against her claim of maintenance, permanent alimony, court expenses, marriage expenses, dowry articles, stridhan articles.
     There may be many more things to consider depending upon your circumstances in life, status etc.

Filing of First Motion Mutual Consent Divorce Petition
     Recording of Statement of both the Husband and Wife.
     Passing of Order allowing the 1st Motion Petition
     Waiting for minimum six month to maximum eighteen months
     Filing of Second Motion Mutual Consent Divorce Petition
     Recording of Statement of both the Husband and Wife.
     Passing of Order and Judgment allowing the 2nd Motion Petition and passing of Divorce Decree by Court.
