Credit Card Cases

Q1. I have lost my Credit Card / Debit Card what to do?

A.

Immediately inform the Bank through Phone about the loss of the Credit Card / Debit Card as soon as you come to know about the loss so that your Credit Card / Debit Card is blocked by the bank and your Credit Card / Debit Card is not misused.
You would be inviting trouble if you delay in informing the Bank about the loss of your Credit Card / Debit Card.

Q2. I have already made payment as per the Bank Statement regarding my Credit Card within the due date, however, the Bank Statement of the subsequent month still reflects that I have not made the payment. Further I have received phone calls from the bank that my Credit Card would be blocked if I do not make the payment. What to do?

A.

If you have made the payment through Cash, then you can inform the bank about the Receipt Number and date of payment.

If you have made the payment through Cheque, then kindly follow as mentioned below: -
Check whether the payment has been cleared by your bank?
If yes, then whether you had correctly mentioned the Credit Card A/c Number in your Cheque,
If yes then inform your Credit Card bank about the Cheque Number, Cheque Date, and Date of Clearance of the amount.
If you have wrongly mentioned the Credit Card A/c Number in your Cheque, however, the cheque has already been cleared by your bank, then inform your Credit Card Bank about the said facts, who can resolve the issues, however, it may take time.
However, if still your Credit Card Bank threaten to block your Credit Card for non-payment, then you can act in two ways: -
If you do not want your Credit Card to be blocked - Pay again through Pay Order and file a Consumer Case for refund of the first payment wrongly made in incorrect Credit Card A/c Number with interest for illegal retention of your money by your Credit Card Bank.
If blocking of your Credit Card for some short period does not matter to you – You can ask your Credit Card Bank to resolve the issue by itself by tracing the payment made by you in incorrect account.
